Dayo Okeniyi who played ‘Thresh’ in the Hunger Games movie is set to have roles in two future blockbusters. He has roles now in The Spectacular Now and the Ben Affleck starrer Runner Runner.

‘The Hunger Games’ movie will be dubbed and subtitled, released in China in the month of June. It will be one of the first Hollywood studio films to be released in the country under the ‘Blockbuster Revenue Sharing Agreement’ announced in February which means western distributers can collect up to 25% of a films reciepts in China.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairs Patrick Wachsberger and Rob Friedman say ”China is already one of the leading territories at the international box office, and the launch of ’The Hunger Games’ in this key market is another sign of the franchise’s continuing emergence as a truly global phenomenon.”

We look forward to hearing what the people of China think about the movie, and are glad we can share the experience with them.

Director of the first ‘The Hunger Games’ film has officially handed in his notice stating that he will not be directing the sequel ‘Catching Fire’.

He said “Despite recent speculation in the media, and after difficult but sincere consideration, I have decided not to direct ‘Catching Fire.’  As a writer and a director, I simply don’t have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule.”

Fans from around the world created a fan page intitled ‘Gary Ross is Boss’, in which they posted of  fans doing the three fingered District 12 Salute. Although apparantly this didn’t work. As we have lost the original director, will this be just like the Twilight saga films, with four different directors interpretations, the 5 films all had a different atmosphere. Do we really want this for our beloved Hunger Games? Or will it work in our favour?

On the ‘Creation Entertainment’ site, an exciting topic has popped up for a ‘Creation Fan Convention with stars from The Hunger Games’. This is very exciting! It states that the convention will be in The Westin O’Hare Hotel, in Chicago. The event will be held from June the 23rd to the 24th, over the weekend. Guest Stars announced so far are Willow Shields, (Prim from the movie), Amandla Stenberg (Rue from the movie), Jaqueline Emerson (Foxface from the movie), and Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh from the movie). We will keep updating on this exciting event.

The movie received $33.5 million at U.S. and Canadian theatres from Friday until Sunday and lifted its domestic sales through three weekends to $302.8 million, according to estimates which were released on Sunday.

The Easter weekend receipts for “The Hunger Games” beat “American Reunion,” a sequel to one of film industry’s largest comedy franchises, and a 3D version of the unsinkable that sank “Titanic” timed for the 100th anniversary of the disaster.

International ticket sales since the films opening reached $157.1 million through Sunday, bringing the film’s combined domestic and overseas receipts to $460 million.

Introducing Henry River Mill Village, or should I say…… District 12. Yes, as some of you super Tributes may know, Henry River Village is the filming area for District 12 in the movie, so what’s in store in this small village?

First Off, fans are delighted to be able to pose in front of none other than Katniss Everdeen’s District 12 home, and gawk at what was the Mellark’s Family Bakery in the movie.

The bakery is not much different, the works ‘pastries’ and ‘cakes’ still painted onto the building. However, the porch was only an add-on for the movie and has now been dismantled.

The village got noticed in the meia when NBC “Today” show aired a segment about the filming of the movie in North Carolina. The village has been a host to a large host of visitors. On Friday, more than two dozen people stopped off at the village for a couple of hours before lunch time.

Owner Wade Shepherd has said visitors have been visiting since before the movie was even released. He has said he doesn’t mind fans driving through and even walking on the property but they need to stay on the sidewalks and pavements, not on the grass. He said holes in the ground make the property dangerous for visitors.

So, will any of you be visiting the hometown of Katniss Everdeen soon, or will you just stick to the pictures?

Lionsgate have said that adapting the title into a video game is a “No-Brainer”
So does this mean we’ll be playing it on our xbox’s, PlayStations, and Nintendo’s at home?

Lionsgate have already released a game for the App Store and there’s the excitement of the upcoming Facebook Game but wouldn’t it be just amazing if our favourite characters came to life in a video game? Of course, judging by the success of the franchise, a video game would be thought to be likely in the mix, but who can say?

In an interview with Forbes, the digital marketing VP of Lionsgate, said “since the movie has the word “games” in the title, it’s obvious that it should be made into a game. But we’ve been careful and cautious that when we do embark on a new project, we’re doing it the right way and delivering an experience that fans will enjoy,” he said.

So, could there be a possible game?

I hope you like the new layout that was kindly made by We really like it, and we hope you do too!

With a recent interveiw it seems The Hunger Games is to have 4 movies, if Woody Harrelson is telling the truth. Could the last book be split into two, or is there another sequel coming our way?
